Ok ok I know I’m a little bit late… but as the saying goes better late than never 😅 I’m back at it again and I’m taking it back to 2018 where I left off…. August 2018 P!nk Concert!! 💕

Oh take me back..
My mother-in-law, Sandra, and I travelled from little ol Lightning Ridge NSW to the big smoke, Brisbane QLD. This was a pretty big deal for Sandra as she has grown up in this small town for her whole life and hasn’t experienced much city life. This was also Sandras first ever concert and we were about to make the most out of it and so the girls trip began..
Of course we spent the 8.5 hour trip singing obnoxiously away to every pink song you can think of.. a couple times. We also took a wrong turn and ended up travelling there via farm paddocks and one car roads. I still don’t even know, it was like we were on the right track to the GPS although our located was off the road across the way a bit just not quite matching up but was definitely a scenic trip. Sandra drove in the big city while I gave directions as well as arm signals, aggressive pointing and hand over head embarrassment but we had made it to the big smoke!
We checked in to the cutest little motor inn which was only a short up hill walk to some corner shops. There we found a cute fruit and vege market, pizzas and a pharmacy. Yes we indeed had pizza for din dins and had yummy fruit for dessert with maybe a little chocolate.
The next day was the day we had been waiting for, PINK CONCERT. I can’t lie I had taken my mum for her 40th birthday previously in 2012 so I knew what I was hyped for but Sandras excitement was next level and contagious! She was like an excited kid before Christmas, I think even the weekend getting out of town on her own being a first was an added thill.
How were we going to kill all these hours before our concert, helllooo shoppping. No small market was going to quench our city shopping experience so we hit the big guns, Westfield. The building and car park alone I think was bigger than our town so we were praying for good navigation skills that day but very hard task when you are distracted by sales signs, glowing shop names and well shoes. We went a bit mad shopping but had great fun doing so. We got back to our motel, poured all our goodies on our beds and began sparkling ourselves up.
It was the sticker nails for me.. we tried and failed. There is these sticker designs you get for your nails, stick them on and blow dry them to melt down like a gel sticker although didn’t quite go to plan we had massive tummy giggles from it. I than tried to tan and turned green and it stained all my clothes our bellies still saw from laughter.
I did mine and Sandras makeup and let me tell you, Sandra had never worn makeup before and was such a feel good moment and she looked gorgeous!

We were pink ready but was she ready for us ridgiettes. We caught ubers to the concert, we had front standing tickets so we made it in quick and stood as close as we could especially as Sandra is a lot smaller than me, throughout the night I kept pushing her closer to the stage but I’ll never forget the smiles!
We were soo close, the atmosphere was so much fun, we had groups of girls all around us we had crowed with and just makes the experience more worthwhile. I had some wild turkey shots with a random behind me, P!nk actually answered me when I called out because everyone was so quiet and we were so close it was so surreal!
P!nk once again absolutely rocked that stage and I couldn’t recommend a concert more! She is an absolute must see!

P!nk is the definition of an entertainer ❤️
Love you lots, Bree xoxo
